(bis.) [L., twice or double.] (Philol.) The root of the prefix bi-or bin-.-(Mus.) A term placed over pa ages having dots post fixed to one bar, and prefixed to a following bar, indicating that the intervening pa age is to be played twice over. [s. 95]
