[= Dan. bumbaad, ap par. D. " bumboot, a very wide boat used by 719 Bumboat Act, an English statute of 1761 (2 Geo. III., c. 28) for the suppre ion of thieving, etc., by the proprie tors of bumboats and other craft on the Thames. It required the registration of such ve els. Same as bombolo .
