Cholalic Acid

{kol-a’-lik), C18H2404. A decomposition product of glycocholic or taurocholic acid, obtained when the latter is boiled with caustic potash, baryta water, or dilute mineral acids. It is dextrorotatory, and is colored blue by iodin. 189
