(loo-bre-ka's hun.) [From L. lubrico, I make slippery.] (Med.) The act of making smooth or slippery. Thus, mucilaginous and saponaceous preparations are said to lubricate the parts to which they aro applied.-(Mach.) The supplying of oil to machinery for the diminution of friction. [s. 559]
