a bird, called also the arapunga. It is pure white in color, about a foot in length, and has a voice like the tolling of a bell. It inhabits Guiana. _ Belle de Nuit, 2 name sometimes given to the Marvel of Peru (miraa ey bilis jalap a), sometimes also to certain tropical American and West Indian species of convolvulacem, with extremely beautiful and fragrant flowers, which open only during the night.
