JEAN JACQUES, (bar-ta'le-me,) a French historian and antiquary, B.1716, wrote several learned archæological works, but won his greatest reputation by his Voyage du Jeune Anarch arsis en Gréce, which was long used as an authority on the history, manners, and customs of the Greeks. D. 1795. [s. 76]
