matting boat (mating bot)

Same as mat boat. finely and regularly granulated end, and so grinding the other as to remove the angles. The unground end is the working end of the punch, and needs no further preparation. matting-tool (mat'ing-töl), n. In metal-work ing, a kind of chasing-tool for producing evenly roughened surfaces.
