Same as epoрее. A writer of epopees. It is not long since two of our best-known epopæists , or, to use the more common term, of our novel-writers, have concluded each a work published by instalments. S. Phillips , E ays from the Times, II. 321. epopt (ep'opt), n. [ epopt a (e-pop'tä), n.; pl. epoptæ (-tē). [NL.: see epopt.] Same as epopt. epoptic (e-pop'tik), a. [ nous. Eporosa (ep-ō-rō'sä), n. pl. [NL., neut. pl. of eporosus: see eporose.] A group of stone-corals with eporose or imperforate corallum. See Aporosa.
