Nigger Baby, or HOLE BALL

Playground game, in some localities called also Cap Ball. In this case the players' caps are used instead of holes. Usually each player has a small hole dug in the ground, of sufficient size to hold the ball. One of them stands behind a mark and to es or rolls the ball toward the caps or holes. He into whose hole the ball goes and lodges must seize it and throw it at one of the others. If he hits him, that player drops a stone in his hole and then takes his turn at rolling. If the thrower mi es, he puts a stone in his own hole and then rolls. Each player has five stones; the one who gets five in his hole first is obliged to bend over, with his head to the wall, and allow each of the other players to take three throws at him with the ball.
