(ag-re-küll'yur.) [ From L. ager, a field, and cultura, cultivation.] The art of cultivating the ground for the purpose of obtaining vegetable produce therefrom. In its most general meaning it includes the whole busine of the farmer, which comprehends, in addition to raising corn and other crops, the management of live-stock. [s. 14]
