The act of fitting together parts of machines and instruments, such as sewing-machines, guns, microscopes, watches, etc., especially when duplicate parts duplicate parts are so exactly made as to be interchangeable. a embling-bolt (a-sembling-bōlt), n. screw-bolt for holding together the several parts of a machine or tool.
