saxicola

[Lat. sarum =a stone, and colo =to inhabit.] Ornith.: Stonechat; the typical genus of Saxicoline (q. v.). Beak straight, slender, surrounded with a few bristles; nostrils basal, lateral, oval; half closed by a membrane. Three toes in front, one behind. Habitat, Africa, Northwest India, the Pale arctic region, migrating to Alaska and Green land.
