[L., a plant supposed to be the same as that called in Latin achilleos, milfoil or yarrow, world. Two species are common, the milfoil or yarrow, A. Mille folium, indigenous in both hemispheres and of Achillean (ak-i-lē'an), a. [ [ Achilleus , Αχίλλειος, I dined with Mr. Landor.. I had inferred from his books, or magnified from some anecdotes, an impre ion of Achillean wrath - an untamable petulance. Era Prose Works, II. 161. achilleic (ak-i-lē'ik), a. Pertaining to or derived from Achillea Mille folium. - Achilleic acid, an acid found in the leaves and flowers of milfoil or yar row, Achillea Mille folium probably identical with aco nitic acid.
