(Or. oiSixvTo;,dry.) A genus of thin leaved ferns, having their fructification in short marginal lines. The leaflets are usually wedge-shaped and placed upon slender shining petioles. One of the>6pecies (A. capillus veneris) was formerly employed in the manufacture of syrup of capillaire. [s. 27]
