(plaz-maf ’ -ik)[plasma\ Pertain ing to plasma. P. Layer, the layer of plasma next to the wall of a capillary. PI asm in (plaz/-min) [plasma]. A name given to the precipitate obtained from blood by treating it with a saturated solution of sodium sulphate, allowing the corpuscles to subside, then precipitating the plasma with sodium chlorid, and washing the precipitate with a saturated solution of sodium chlorid. 502
