Erechtheus

(e-rěk'the-ŭs,)a semi-mythical personage, said to have had Vulcan for his father and Cecrops for his son, and, according to Homer, to have been an A then i an king. To him is attributed the erection of the Erechtheum, a temple of Minerva, built on the Acropolis at Athens. [s. 338]
