[NL., II. n. A thick-eared bat, as of the genus Pachyotus. pachypod (pak'i- 'i-pod), a. [ παχύπους , thick footed, παχύς , thick, + πούς ( ποδ- ) = E. foot .] Ha Having thick, ma ive, or heavy feet. Pachypoda (pa-kip'o-da), n. pl. [NL.: see add pod an pachypod.] In zool., one of several different groups of animals characterized by thick, ma ive, or heavy feet.
