milling tool

A small indented roller mounted in a stock and used to nurl objects, such as the edges of screw heads, by pre ure against the latter when they are rotating in a lathe; a nurling tool. mil-ling-tō-ni-a, s. [Named after Sir T. Mil. lington, profe or of botany at Oxford.] Botany: 1. The typical genus of the order Millingtoniacese (q. v.). It is synonymous with Meliosma. 2. A genus of Bignonia cere. Milling ton i a horten sis , called also Bignonia tuberosa , is the cork tree of India. mil-ling-tō-ni-ā-çe-æ, s. pl. [Mod. Lat. mil lingtoni (a); Lat. fem. pl. adj. suff. -aceœ.] Bot.: An order of hypogynous exogens, established by Wight and Arnott. The species are now referred to Sabiaceæ.
