To remove (water), or free (a boat, etc.) from water, with a bail, bucket, basin, or other small ve el: usually with out. II. in trans. To remove water, as from a boat or the like, with a bail or bucket. bail5t, etc. Obsolete and le proper spelling of balel , etc.
