The flat of the hand, the flexor or anterior surface of the hand, the opposite of the dorsum; vola manus [BNA]; it includes roughly the anterior surface of the metacarpus from the wrist to the fingers. 2. A palm-tree, a member of the order Palma, including the cocoanut-palm, the date-palm, etc.
