(ar-is-tok'ra-se.) [From Gr. aristos, the best, and krateo, I rule.] (Pol.) A form of hereditary government, composed of the nobles or superior citizens ofa country.-In its more commonly applied sense, a cla of persons in the State; the wealthy and noble cla es in a body, or the latter cla by itself.
