Mann, William Julius

D.D. (Pennsylvania College, Gettysburg, Pen 153 n., 1857), Luther an (General Council); b. at Stuttgart, Germany, May 29, 1819; graduated at Tubingen, 1841; was from 1850 to 1884 pastor of Zion Evangelical Luther an Church, Philadelphia; now pastor emeritus; since 1864 has been profe or of Hebrew, ethics, and symbolics in the Philadelphia Theological Seminary of the Luther an Church. He edited the Kirchenfreund, Philadelphia, 1854-60; and is the author of Luther an ism in America, 1857; General Principles of Christian Ethics, 1872 (abridgment of Dr. Ch. Fr.
