149. deicide2 (dē'i-sīd), n. [= F. déicide = Sp. Pg. It. deicidio , deicidium , deus , a god, + -cidium, cædere , kill. Cf. homicide2 .] The act of killing a god; specifically, the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. [Rare.] Earth, profaned, yet ble ed, with deicide .
