Diagometer

An instrument invented by Rou eau, in which the dry pile is used to measure the amount of electricity transmitted by different bodies. Palmier i's is designed to test Palmier i's Diagometer. the quality of oils and to detect the presence of cotton in silk fabric. It is based upon the principle that olive oil is a poorer conductor of electricity than any other oil in common use. An electroscope determines the relative conductivity of the oil. Diagonal. Of a plain figure, a straight line joining its vertices not adjacent; in a solid, a straight line joining its vertices not in the same facial plane; in a spherical polygon, an arc of a great circle joining two vertices not adjacent.
