Foster, Robert Verrell

D.D. (Trinity University, Texas, 1884), Cumber land Presbyterian; b. in Wilson County, Tenn., Aug. 12, 1845; graduated A.B. and A.M. from Cumber land University, Lebanon, Tenn.; studied theology under Rev. Dr. Richard Beard; graduated from Union Theological Seminary, New-York City, in 1877; and has been ever since profe or of Hebrew and biblical theology and exegesis in the theological school of Cumber land University. In 1881 he declined the chief editorship of The Cumber land Presbyterian, the principal denominational organ, and later the presidency of Trinity University, Tehuacana, Tex., and the profe orship of Greek and Latin in Lincoln University, 111. He is a frequent contributor to his denominational papers.
