(waulz.) [Fr. valse; Ger. walzer.) (Dancing.) A favorite round dance, of Bohemian origin, now common to all civilized countries, and too well known to need description here. Waltham, (wawl'thăm.) in Ma achusetts, a town of Middle sex co., 10 m. N.W. of Boston. It has extensive manu fs. of cotton goods, and one of the greatest watch factories in the Union. Pop. 9,065.
