A genus of plants, order Bra icacea. (Zool.) A worm; a caterpillar; -the larva state of insects. Also the name of a genus of univalve mollusks, allied to Clausilia (q. ν.). Eruct', Eruc'tate, v . a. [Lat. eructo-e, ez, and ruc to , to belch; Gr. ereugomai, to spew out.] To belch or vomit up; - specifically, to fart; to eject from the stomach, as wind.
