(fas'te.) [L., literally, fixed days.] (Rom. Antiq.) The name given to the Roman Calendar, in which were set down all days of feasts, pleadings, games, ceremonies, the names of public officers, and the different important matters, changeable each year:-it corresponded to what is called by the moderns an almanac.
