EXIT

A word placed in the margin of plays to mark the time at which the player leaves the stage. EXODIUM, in Greek Tragedy, signified the end or denouement of the play; or more properly that portion of it (generally the last act) in which the catastrophe is indicated, or the plot begins to be unravelled.
