[Eng. taigu; -ic.] Derived from taigu (q. v.). taiguic-acid, s. Chem.: Obtained from taigu by treating with cold alcohol. It crystallizes in oblique, yellow prisms, tastele and inodorous, slightly soluble in water, soluble in alcohol, ether, and benzene, melts at 135°, and sublimes at 180°.
