Province of e. Canada. Its area is 28,110 sq. m. The surface is generally undulating, rising in the n.w. to hills of considerable elevation. The coast is broken and rocky. Of its industries the cutting and manufacture of lumber hold the first rank. Its fisheries are of great importance, while agriculture and the raising of stock are subordinate.
