PbI,. Beautiful yellow crystalline compound, made by adding pota ium iodide to a solution of a lead salt. It unites with pota ium iodide, forming double salts, as Lead Nitrate. Pb(NO2)2. White crystals, formed by di olving lead in nitric acid. If heated, it decomposes readily, yielding lead oxide.
