[Eng. phrase; -ology.] 1. Manner of expre ion; diction; words or phrases used in a sentence. 2. A collection of the phrases or idioms in a language; a phrase-book. phrā-try, s. [Gr. phratria.] Greek Antiq.: A subdivision of the phyle or tribe among the A then i ans. *phrě-ně-si-ăc, *phrě-nes'-I-ăc, adj . As adj .: Suffering from frenzy; having the brain disordered; frenzied, frantic. B. As subst.: One whose brain is disordered; a frantic or frenzied person. †phrě-nět'-Ic-al, a. [Eng. phrenetic ; -al.] The same as PHRENETIC (q. v.). tphrě-nět-ic-al-ly, adv . [English phrenetical ; -ly .] In a phrenetic or frenzied manner; frantically. phren-Ic, a . [Fr. phrénique , from Gr. phrên = the midriff or diaphragm.] Anat.: Pertaining or belonging to the diaphragm; as, the phrenic arteries. phrěn-Ic, s. (PHRENICS.) A mental disease; a medicine or remedy for such a disease. sin, as; expect, Xenophon, exist. ph = f phrenics phrěn-Ics, s. [Greek phren = the mind.] That branch of science which relates to the mind; metaphysics.
