(ga-zěl.) [From Ar. gazal, a wild goat.] (Zool.) The Antilope dorcas of Linnæus, a beautiful and graceful antelope (Fig. 30), abt. the size of the roebuck, with large black horns, and of a fawn color above and white beneath, with a brown band along each flank.
