A title popularly given to the State of Wisconsin. Badia, ( ba'de -a,) a town of Italy, prov. of Poles in a, on the Adige, 16 m. W. by N. of Rovigo; pop . 5,467. Badia'ga, n. [Ru . bodyaga .] A kind of sponge, common in the N. of Europe, the powder of which is applied to the marks of bruises to remove their livid appearance. Its nature is not understood.
