(het-ur-o-po'dah,) or HETEROPODS. [Gr. heteros, and pous, po dos, foot.] (Zool.) An O. of Mollusks, closely allied to the Gasteropod a by the structure and position of the foot, which is compre ed, so as to constitute a vertical muscular paddle, or tin. [s. 454]
