Allotropism

(al-of -ro-pizni). I. The term expre es the fact of certain elements existing in two or more conditions with differences of physical properties. Thus carbon illustrates allotropism by existing in the forms of charcoal, plumbago, and the diamond. See Isomeric . 2. Appearance in an unusual or abnormal form. Allotropy (al-of -ro-pe).
