Hutch in son, Thomas

Ms., 1711-1780. The last royal governor of Ma achusetts. An historian of great ability but whose merits as such were not recognized by his contemporaries. His History of the Colony of Ma achusetts Bay, the third and last volume of which was not published till nearly fifty years after his death, begins with the year 1628, and closes with the year 1774.
