Smith, Samuel Francis

Ms., 1808-1895. A Baptist clergyman near Boston, who wrote much religious verse, but will probably be longest remembered for the familiar “My Country, ’tis of thee.” He published, for juvenile readers and others, Knights and Sea Kings; Mythology and Early Greek History; Noble Workers; Poor Boys who Became Great; Rambles in Mi ion Fields.
