ASPLENIACEÆ

(Lat,), n. f. pl. ® (ke?)-e(a>-e?), Fr., aspléniacées. Ger., Aspleniaceen. Of Gray and others, a division or suborder of polypod i a ceo us ferns, including the genus Asplenium (in its widest sense) and one or two other genera, and hence corresponds to the Asplenieæ of Hooker (q. v.); according to some, it also comprises Blechnum, Lomaria, Scolopendrium, and similar genera, included by Hooker among the Lomarieæ and Scolopendrieæ.
