I. of a Muscle, inability on a part of a muscle to contract sufficiently to produce the normal effect. The term is applied especially to the eye-muscles. I. of the Externi, a condition in which the contraction of the extern i muscles of the eye is weak and is overbalanced by that of the intern i, producing esophoria.
