(skōr.) [From A. S. scor.] Anotch or line drawn or cut, byway of tally-mark; hence, an account of reckoning kept by such means. Also, the number twenty, because formerly denoted by a notch or tally.-(Mus.) The original draught of the entire composition, in which the several parts are distinctly marked upon staves one above the other, so as to be taken in at a glance by the eye of the performer.
