(kon-vul’-shuns). Violent spasms of alternate muscular contraction and relaxation, common in infants. The child’s feet should be put into hot water and mustard, or, better still, the child should be put sitting in hot water, the shoulders being covered with flannel. The fit seldom lasts more than two minutes, but may recur. Medical advice and treatment are e ential.
