Pertaining osteopathy (os-te-op'ath-e). A system of OSTEOTOMY treatment based on the idea that disarranged bones are the cause of disease and that manipulation tending to restore the bones so displaced is curative. In a reported case it affected about one-third of the external plantar surface of the left foot, accompanied by a club-shaped thickening of the fourth toe. osteospongioma (os"te-o-spon-je-o'mah). A spongy or fungous condition of bone. See spina ventosa, under spina.
