Eleanora, an Italian actre ; born in Vigevano, Italy, in 1861. She has played in all the principal_countries of Europe and visited the United States. She has been twice married and divorced. Du aud’s Telescope, an instrument invented in 1398 by M. Du aud, a French scientist, and which sends pictures by wire. The instrument consists of a camera, at the opposite end from the lens is a revolying screen worked by clockwork and pierced with small openings arranged in spiral form. Behind this is a system of selenium layers connected with a battery. Ky means of this machine an observer at the receiving station sees upon the screen the exact image produced in the camera of the transmitter.
