dunder2 (dunder)

Lees; dregs; especially, the lees of cane-juice, which are used in the West Indies in the distillation of rum. The use of dunder in the making of rum answers the purpose of yeast in the fermentation of flour. Edwards . dunder bolt (dun'der-bōlt), n.
