Ticonderoga

A town in E ex Co., N. Y., 95 miles north by east of Albany. Two or three miles below this village are the ruins of old Fort Ticonderoga, on the west shore of Lake Cham plain. The fort was surprised by Col. Ethan Allen in the Revolutionary war.
