LAMP-BLACK

n. Laamp'blaak. Fr.. noir de fumee. Ger., Lampenru , Lampenschwarz. Finely divided carbon obtained by the imperfect combustion of oils, fats, tar, resin, coal-gas, and other bodies rich in carbon; a black, impalpable powder, used as a pigment.
