Fascination

(fas-se-nā'shun.) [Fr., from L. fascinatio.] The fact of being charmed, operated upon. or influenced upon by the look of certain persons: it is generally taken in an evil sense. A belief in F. appears to have been very generally prevalent in most ages and countries. [s. 356]
