(Lat.), n. n. Je2(ya)-ju2(yu)'nu3m(nu4m). From jejunus. fasting. Fr., jejunum. Ger., Leerdarm. The upper two fifths of that part of the small intestine below the duodenum; so called because it was formerly supposed to be empty after death.
